The Académie des César presents an exceptional program that brings together all the short films awarded between April 2018 and April 2019 by their National Film Academy. Representing Brazil the film Hotel Cambridge Occupancy directed by Andrea Mendonça, awarded best documentary short film by the Brazilian Film Academy, was chosen by The Académie des César. 

Reflecting Cinema excellence and celebrating the best of the short film production, a remarkable means of expression that reveals new talents every year, these are the ambitions of the Panorama.

The Panorama is hosted by 9 Film Academies and screened in 21 cities around the world: Athens, Bari, Brussels, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Lisbon, Luxembourg, Madrid, Mexico, Milan, Monterrey, Montreal, Naples, Rome, Sankt Pölten, Tlaxcala, Toluca, Vienna, Vilnius, Zapopan and Paris.

A unique opportunity for Film Academies of Europe to initiate an innovative cooperation, shedding light on the diversity of worldwide films and participate, in their own way, in the exchange between cultures.

THE NIGHT SEEN BY THE 2019 DIRECTORS

The 2019 Nuits en Or directors each offer their interpretation of the topic "The Night" through a short film that they made for the Académie des César.

 

Whether their film is funny, moving, committed, aesthetic or disturbing, each filmmaker brings its own personality, its vision and its artistic realm to this collaborative project gathering international young talents of cinema.
